HUNTER NEWS FROM WEEK III OF THE JACKSONVILLE SPRING CLASSICS
REDFIELD FARM DOMINATES SIDELINES GREEN HUNTERS!

Jacksonville, Florida 

Redfield Farm of Califon, New Jersey swept the Sidelines 3' and 3'3" Green Hunter Division Week III of the Jacksonville Spring Classic as riders looked to earn qualifying points for the $30,000 Green Hunter Classic, presented by Ariat, JPC Equestrian, The Farm House and Friends of Ellen Veitch, slated for Week I of the Atlanta Fall Classics. With no entry fee for the top twenty qualifiers and five chosen by lottery, riders were anxious to earn some valuable points in this special offering from the Classic Company that promotes the Green Hunters.

Cassandra Kahl of Califon, New Jersey brought home the blues as well as valuable qualifying points for the upcoming $30,000 Green Hunter Classic! She piloted MDHT's Cavallino Rampante to the championship in the Sidelines 3'3" Green Hunter Division and then topped it off with grabbing a Reserve title with Redfield Farm's Lakeshore. Kahl went on to win the Sidelines 3' Green Hunter Reserve Champion placing with Redfield Farm's Sidney. Another Redfield Farm rider, David Wilbur, picked up the Championship in the Sidelines Green 3' Division with Redfield Farm's Grandville.

There are four more weeks of Classic Company shows left to earn valuable, qualifying points for the upcoming $30,000 Green Hunter Classic scheduled for Friday, Week I of the Atlanta Fall Classic set to kick off at the Georgia International Horse Park on November 8 through 19th.

Offering weekly Sidelines Green Hunter 3' and 3'3" Divisions, all qualifiers for the $30,000 Green Hunter Classic scheduled for Week I of the Atlanta Fall Classic, the Atlanta Summer Classics offer a hunter class for every level of horse and rider at the home of the 1996 Olympic Games. The Charleston Summer Classic kicks off on Johns Island, South Carolina on July 11 through the 22nd. All 2017 Sidelines 3' and 3'3" Green Hunter classes have been qualifying riders and horses for this one of a kind Classic Company offering since January. There will be no entry fee for the top twenty qualifiers plus five chosen by lottery.  The $30,000 Green Hunter Classic will be open to all competing in the 3' and 3'3" Green Hunter Divisions Week I of the Atlanta Fall Classic for an entry fee.  Click here for the specifications The $30,000 Green Hunter Classic is presented by Ariat, JPC Equestrian, The Farmhouse and Friends of Ellen Veitch and is dedicated to the advancement of the Green Hunters. "The Green Hunters are the most important classes a horse show can offer," said Bob Bell, President of Classic Company. "This division allows the trainer to compete the horses based on his or her evaluation of the horse's ability, not age," he said. "For those second career horses out there, it is extremely important to provide them mileage and confidence," he continued. "This division contributes to the correct training of our hunters and I believe it is critical to the development of our hunter horses," he added.
