[Conyers, Georgia]

The highly anticipated $25,000 Barry Lane Classics which took place over Friday and Saturday, wrapped up today at the Georgia International Horse Park to close out the first week of the Atlanta Fall Classics.

Friday's $5,000 installment of the Barry Lane Classics saw 32 horse and rider teams compete over the 1.10 m class. With a first round time allowed of 72 seconds, only eleven qualified for a second round opportunity over a course with a time allowed of 48 seconds. Heather Zuber of Zionsville, Indiana and her own Firebird were the first horse and rider team to post double clear rounds in times of 70.075 and 36.578 seconds, respectively and set the new time to beat.

Sarah Thompson of Aiken, South Carolina and her own Carignan followed with the next double clear rounds and in times of 67.298 and 35.73 seconds, respectively, took the lead.

Mary Elise Nolen of Leeds, Alabama and her own Celebes Robusta, rose to the challenge and took the lead from Thompson and Carignan after posting clear rounds in times of 68.897 and 34.105 seconds and set the new time to beat.

That lead would be temporary, as Mattie Worsham of Cumming, Georgia and Fit to Print Farm's Camera Ready followed and posted double clear rounds in times of 66.496 and 27.384 seconds, taking the lead.

Skylar Rose, also of Cumming, Georgia, and her own Fernhill Pursuit followed with double clear rounds, but their second round time of 32.672 would place them in fourth overall.

Michelle Newman and UK Equestrian Team's Royal Blue, rose to the challenge to catch the lead. Even though their double clear rounds in times of 63.261 and 31.965 seconds were close, they could not catch Camera Ready and the pair would settle in second place overall.

Sydney Crenshaw of Canton, Georgia in the irons of Elinor Halevi's Cedric turned in clear rounds but their second round time of 35.784 seconds would not be fast enough to take the lead and the pair would settle for seventh place overall.

Brie Tiffany of Aiken, Cary, North Carolina, and Riad Cha Dwes Aucels also turned in double clears, but their second round time of 39.044 would find them finishing in ninth place overall.
Camera Ready and Mattie Worsham were met in the winner's circle by Ribbons Marshall Drew Coster.

Isabel Harbour of Alpharetta, Georgia and her own Captivate were the last horse and rider team to turn in double clear rounds with a second round time of 31.776 seconds which would place them in third overall, leaving the win with Camera Ready and Mattie Worsham.

Day 2:  New Jersey Native Kelly Mcinerney and
Dinletto RK Win Saturday's $10,000 1.10 Barry Lane Classic
Kelly Mcinerney of Chester, New Jersey and her own Dinletto RK won Saturday's $10,000 Barry Lane Classic

Thirty two returned for Saturday's $10,000 1.10m Barry Lane Jumper Classic and saw only four post double clear rounds. The first round was set at 74 seconds with a second round set at 48 seconds.

Holly Bachor of Franklin, Tennessee and Full Circle Farm's Harvest Moon were the first to turn in double clear rounds in times of 73.991 seconds and 41.619 seconds, respectively, setting the time to beat.

Six rides later, Anna Claire Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and her own Bilbo Baggins took the lead after posting double clears in a second round time of 40.864 seconds.

Brie Tiffany of Cary, North Carolina, and her own Riad Cha Dwes Aucels looked to unseat Smith and Bilbo Baggins with their double clear rounds but their second round time of 43.947 seconds wasn't fast enough and the pair would settle for a fourth place finish overall.

The last to post double clear rounds, Kelly Mcinerney of Chester, New Jersey and her own Dinletto RK, had a clear second round in a time of 39.297 setting the new time to beat. With no clear first rounds following, the pair would remain the victors and have Smith and Bilbo Baggins finish in second place. Bachor and Harvest Moon finished in third place while Tiffany and Riad Cha Dwes Aucels finished in fourth.

Heather Zuber of Zionsville, Indian and her own Firebird placed tenth, Kris Kennedy's Gentleman, ridden by Michael Kennedy of Newtown, Pennsylvania, placed eleventh and Grayanna Grigg of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, wrapped up the class with the twelfth place ribbon in the irons of Ilan Ferder's A Propos.

Twenty six returned today for the third installment of the Barry Lane Classics, the $10,000 1.15 m class, with only seven posting double clear rounds.

The second round was set at 45 seconds and the first horse and rider team, Skylar Rose of Cumming, Georgia and her own Fernhill Pursuit, made it look easy, turning in back to back clear rounds in times of 73.307 and 30.907 seconds, respectively, setting the new time to beat.

It was several trips later when the next double clear round ridden by Anna Claire Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and her own Bilbo Baggins posted double clears in times of 76.529 and 32.158 seconds putting them temporarily in the second place position. But with many yet to go, it was still anyone's class.

Two trips later, Corri Goldman of Edgewater, Maryland and her one Undelie De Roset took the lead after posting double clear rounds in times of 72.863 and 29.664 seconds, respectively, and took the lead.

Faith Davis of Gurley, Alabama and her own Dekadenz followed and although they too posted double clear rounds, their second round time of 33.189 would find them finishing in sixth place overall.

Sarah Thompson of Aiken, South Carolina and her own Carignan followed with double clear rounds and a second round time of 31.902 seconds, which would find them finish in fourth place overall.

Lily Bennett of Atlanta, Georgia, in the irons of Alexandra Mcready's Zimba, followed with a clear second round time of 33.307 seconds which would finish them in seventh place overall.
Corri Goldman and Undelie De Roset are greeted in the winner's circle by Classic Company President Bob Bell, Ribbons Marshall Drew Coster and Barry Lane's sister Debby Lane.  The Champion Awards Cooler was provided by The Clothes Horse.

Mary Elise Nolen of Leeds, Alabama and her own Celebes Robusta looked to take the lead from Goldman and Undelie De Roset, but their second round time of 30.843 seconds would put them in second place overall, leaving Goldman and Undelie De Roset victorious.

"We are thrilled with the continued strong turnout for the Barry Lane Classic Memorial Class," commented Bob Bell, President of Classic Company. "The class memorializes a wonderful horsewoman and it is nice to recognize her every year through this popular competition," he added.
